Your trike ships partially assembled to protect components during transit and reduce setup time after delivery. Most customers complete the remaining assembly in about 45 to 90 minutes using the tools and printed manual included in the box.

What You Will Need to Attach
Final setup typically involves attaching or adjusting several components:

Before You Begin
Taking a few minutes before you start will make the process much smoother.
Use two people for unboxing. Electric trikes are large and heavy, typically between 68 and 88 pounds. Having a second person makes it significantly safer to move and unpack the box. Do not attempt to lift the package alone.
Inspect for shipping damage first. Before assembly, check all packaging and components carefully. If you notice any damage to parts or the outer box:
- Take photos immediately
- Contact support@luvmm.com within 48 hours of delivery
- Do not continue assembly until the issue has been reviewed
Lay out all parts before starting. Compare everything against the parts list in your manual and confirm nothing is missing before you begin. This saves time and avoids having to disassemble steps later.
Assembly Steps
The steps below provide a general overview. Your printed manual contains model-specific instructions and should always be your primary reference.
Step 1: Attach the front wheel. Position the front wheel into the fork dropouts and secure it using the included hardware. Tighten both sides evenly and follow the torque specifications in your manual.
Step 2: Install the handlebars. Insert the handlebar stem into the steering tube and align it straight with the front wheel. Tighten the stem clamp bolts securely without overtightening. Check alignment carefully before moving on.
Step 3: Install the seat. Insert the seat post above the minimum insertion line marked on the post. Adjust the height for comfort and tighten the seat clamp securely. A proper seat height improves comfort and riding stability. Both feet should be able to reach the ground comfortably when seated.
Step 4: Install the pedals. Pedals are directional. The right pedal tightens clockwise and the left pedal tightens counter-clockwise. Thread pedals carefully by hand first to avoid cross-threading, then fully tighten using the included wrench. Loose pedals create a safety risk, so verify both are secure before riding.
Step 5: Adjust the front brake. Connect and adjust the front brake cable according to your manual. Before riding, squeeze both brake levers firmly, confirm braking response feels secure, and verify the wheels stop properly. Do not ride until brake function is confirmed.
Step 6: Connect the display and electronics. Connect any LCD display or control cables to the matching ports. Ensure all electrical connectors are fully seated and aligned correctly before powering on. If the display does not power on, check that the battery is charged and all connections are fully engaged.
Step 7: Attach accessories. If your model includes baskets, racks, or accessory mounts, attach them using the included hardware. Do not exceed the weight limits listed in your manual for baskets and racks.
Pre-Ride Safety Checklist
Before your first ride, confirm all of the following:
- Brakes engage properly and wheels stop when levers are squeezed
- Handlebars are fully tightened and aligned with the front wheel
- Pedals are secure with no wobble
- Seat post is tightened safely above the minimum insertion line
- Tires are inflated to the recommended pressure listed in your manual
- Battery is fully seated and shows a charge on the LCD display
- All electrical connectors are fully connected
- Display powers on correctly and shows speed and battery level
Do not operate the trike until all items on this checklist are confirmed.
Tips for First-Time Riders
If this is your first time riding an electric trike, a short practice session in a quiet open area makes a real difference before riding in traffic or on busier paths.
- Start slowly and practice steering and braking before building speed
- Practice turning at lower speeds, tricycles handle turns differently than bicycles
- Use the lowest assist or speed setting first if your model has adjustable levels
- Allow yourself time to get comfortable with the three-wheel balance before carrying cargo in the baskets
